How a purchase works

Once you've confirmed you'd like to move forward, here's what happens:

1. We confirm the number and the price. You'll have already seen the number and the agreed price in our email/conversation — nothing changes at this stage.

2. Payment in full. Payment is required in full before the port begins.

3. We initiate the port. Once payment clears, we start the porting process to move the number to your provider of choice.

4. The number is yours. Once the port completes, the number is yours outright — no lease, no licence, no recurring fee to us.

Porting typically takes 5 to 10 business days, though timing is ultimately controlled by the carriers involved, not by us.

Terms of Sale

By purchasing a number from 5 Stars Vanity Phone Number, you agree to the following:

Sale is final. Once a number has been ported to your provider, the sale is final.

No performance guarantees. We don't guarantee any specific business outcome — call volume, lead generation, sales, or otherwise — from owning a vanity number. The benefits described on this site reflect general patterns, not a promise of results for your specific use.

Confirm before you commit. Please confirm the number meets your needs — spelling, area code, and intended use — before finalizing your purchase. Once payment is made and porting begins, the number is considered accepted as-is.

Exclusivity. We confirm that the number sold to you is sold exclusively to you. Once it's yours, we will not offer that same number to anyone else.

Porting is outside our control. We initiate the port on our end, but the process itself is carried out by telecom carriers. We are not responsible for delays, errors, or issues that occur during porting once it has been initiated correctly on our end.

Your responsibility after the port. Once the number is ported to you, you are responsible for it — including its setup, use, and any ongoing costs with your own provider.

Use of the number. You are solely responsible for how the number is used once it is yours. We are not responsible for, and expressly disclaim liability for, any use of the number that violates the law or the rights of others, including but not limited to fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized use. By purchasing a number, you agree to indemnify and hold 5 Stars Vanity Phone Number harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of it.

A note on security. For any public facing phone number — on a sign, an ad, or a business card — we strongly recommend against also using it as a two-factor authentication or account-recovery number for banking or other secure accounts. A number the public can reach is not a number that should also be protecting your accounts.

GST/HST. Tax will be applied based on the the province of the billing address.
